Stadsbygd Prestegård (the old clergy house in the village Stadsbygd) is a stately listed building from 1769. Many priests and families have lived here through time, and the building has also housed important functions in the village. Many of the clergy families have been pioneers for new development of agriculture, horticulture, health and much more in the village. Now the many bedrooms can be rented for accommodation, and there are also office spaces (drop-in and more fixed), as well as meeting rooms and venerable lounges that can be rented for events and parties (own prices).

Accommodation facilities:

  • Kitchen: Spacious kitchen with dining table that seats 6-8 people. If there are more people, you can also use the meeting room for dining. Refrigerator, small freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle.
  • Bathroom: 2 separate WC, one bathroom with bath and sink, one bathroom / laundry room with shower, sink and washing machine, one bathroom with shower, sink and WC.
  • Bedrooms: 7 bedrooms (about 20 beds and mattresses available)
  • Lofts: 2 Lofts, in one there are 2 sofa beds with 120cm width. Several mattresses can be laid on the floor in the second attic.
  • WiFi and small TV in one attic living room.

Location:

Stadsbygd Prestegård (the old clergy house) is located at the mouth of the Prestelva river, at the southern tip of the Fosen Peninsula, and has an intact protected courtyard with buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Fasillities near Stadsbygd Prestegård:

We are the closest neighbor to the Museet Kystens Arv (The Coastal Heritage Museum), which has great exhibitions: Active clinker boat building, restaurant and museum shop. Further east past the Museum you will find burial mounds and rock carvings in the beautiful hiking area Berga. To the north it is only a fifteen minute walk to the center of Stadsbygd, where there are two grocery stores, hairdresser and a paint shop. One of the grocery stores is also open on Sundays at 10-22. Ten minutes further from there you will find a sports hall with gym. To the west it is a twenty minute walk both to the small farm shop Fruene i Fjøset, and to Stadsbygd Småbåthavn and the cultural monument "Tåkeklokka". Otherwise generally nice to walk or bike on flat Stadsbygd, while the surrounding hills offer numerous beautiful hiking trails of varying difficulty. There is a hiking stage on Kystpilegrimsleia from Reins Kloster and over the hills to us, as well as from us and further through Berga to Rørvik Ferry where you can take the ferry over to Flakk outside Trondheim, possibly you can go all the way to Vanvikan which has a speedboat to Trondheim center.
