Skedsmo Church

Skedsmo congregation invites all pilgrims and others to our church!

Our church is open from June 17 - August 14:

Monday – Friday: 9am – 3 pm.
Saturday: 9 am – 1 pm.

You are welcome to celebrate Sunday Mass together with us:
Sunday service at 11 am (OBS! On Olsok, July 29, we celebrate service at 6pm).

Note that the church is often used for weddings and funerals. During these services there will be limited access to the church.

Pilgrims has access to water and bathrooms.

Outside the church we have a digital host that offers information about the church and congregation.

History
Olav Haraldsson (St. Olav) supposedly buildt a wooden chuch as early as 1022 AD on the very same site as the stone church stands today. This was at the time of the Christianization in the area. This wooden church could have been the oldest in Akershus county.
