Skedsmo Church

Skedsmo congregation invites all pilgrims and others to our church. Our opening hours from June 17 og August 14
Monday – Friday: 9am – 3 pm.
Saturday: 9 am – 1 pm.

Welcome to celebrate Sunday Mass together with us:
Sunday service at 11 am (OBS! On Olsok, July 29, we celebrate service at 6pm).

Note that the church is much used for weddings and funerals. We hope for your understanding that during these services there might be some limitations.

Pilgrims has access to water and washrooms.

Outside the church we have a digital usher that has information about the church, the congregation and about pilgrim.

History
Olav Haraldsson (St.Olav) supposedly buildt a wooden chuch as early as 1022 AD on the very same site as the stone church of today. This was at the time of the Christianization in the area. This wooden church could have been the oldest in Akershus county.
