St.Olav Spring

In hope of beeing cured of various diseases people sough to this spring at Brøttum in the Middle Ages (500-1500). Beliving in the healing power of the water people would drink it and washed themselves in it. In ancient Catholic tradition, pilgrims throw coins into the spring to pray for St. Olav's blessings.
These springs are often underground reservoirs where water runs out. Common for most of them is that St. Olav once where there, and that they rarely run out during dry periods.
