Brumunddal town is situated at the end of river Brumunda, running from the highlands into lake Mjøsa

There is a wide variety of chain stores, specialty shops, malls and restaurants in the city center. The village is known for it´s wide variety of cultural activities and industry related to agriculture and forestry, especially wood and furniture and food industry.

Mjøstårnet which is the world's tallest timber building, is located at Mjøsparken. This recreation area has a Skibladner port, marina, basketball- and petanque court, playground, beach, sensory garden, barbecue areas, toilets, electric bicycle charging station and benches.
